Addition Information
MDF Flooring Scotia (also known as Quads or Beading) is a decorative molding used to provide a professional finish to newly installed floors.
-
Purpose: Its primary job is to cover the expansion gap left between the flooring and the baseboard (skirting board) without the need to remove existing woodwork.
-
Material: Made from Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF), it is cost-effective, stable, and less likely to warp or knot compared to solid wood.
-
Aesthetics: It features a concave (Scotia) or convex (Quad) profile that creates a smooth, elegant transition from floor to wall.
-
Versatility: Usually available in a wide range of finishes (foiled, primed, or veneered) to perfectly match the color and texture of your laminate or engineered wood planks.
